NANOCHEMISTRY LAB

Lucia Pasquato graduated in Chemistry at the University of Padova, (summa cum laude), in 1983 with Prof. Giorgio Modena and Prof. Ottorino De Lucchi as supervisors. After one year of fellowship (Interox), in 1985 she was appointed as researcher with the CNR (National Council of Research). In 2002 she moved to the University of Trieste to become Associate Professor. She was a research associate at the University of Würzburg with Professor Waldemar Adam in 1985-86. Current research interests focus on design of monolayers protected gold nanoparticles, the understanding of their properties, the modification of the monolayer and their applications  in biology, medicine, material sciences and catalysis.
